    A course giving a practical introduction to front of house skills for those who want to learn more
    about the cafe/restaurant and tourism industry.

    A career in the Front of House service industry can lead to numerous opportunities such as working on
    cruise ships, top hotels and restaurants or cafes and bars.

    The course covers:

    - Food and beverage service and table service
    - Coffee making skills and operating barista equipment
    - Customer service and Tourism
    Embedded literacy and numeracy

  • > Course Fees and Eligibility: FREE for 16-19 year olds *

    To participate in this course and qualify for free training under the Youth Guarantee initiative,
    students must:

    - be 16-19 years of age at the start of the Youth Guarantee programme;
    - be a New Zealand citizen or have New Zealand permanent residency;
    - be prepared to study full-time for one year in a level 1-3 programme;
    - not be enrolled in school and a Youth Guarantee programme simultaneously;
