  • > Course Outline:

    The aim of this course is for people to gain the necessary skills, confidence and experience that will assist them in finding employment with prospects within 13 weeks. 

    The course is ideal for those that are ready for work but just need some assistance to get there.    

    Financial Assistance:
    A travel allowance is granted to those who live on the outskirts of town to help with travel costs. Work & Income can also help with Transition to Work Grants to assist with interview costs such as clothes, travel and tools.

    - CV preparation and interview skills
    - Work placement experience
    - Skills for employment and active job search
    - Communication and confidence skills
    - Personal presentation and time management

  • > Course Fees & Eligibility: FREE for Work & Income Referred clients 18 and over *

    To participate & qualify for a free Job Connection training course participants must: 

    - be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident;
    - be 18 years of age or over;
    - be registered with Work & Income and referred by them
