18 Years and Over -
Free and Fee Paying Training

We have opportunities for adult students to develop
the skills to move into higher education or to enter
or re-enter the workforce.

Youth Guarantee Programme

We offer free Youth Guarantee Programmes
 to 16-19 year
olds under the Youth Guarantee Initiative which will give
students a qualification at Level 1-3 
of the National Qualifications
Framework in a vocational field. 

These programmes are 44 weeks in length and are offered in a range of fields such as barista training, agriculture, cookery, retail, outdoors and salon support. 

Fee Paying Specialist Training 

We offer 
Equestrian Training at the National Equestrian Academy based at Community College North Canterbury.
We currently offer one fee paying course, Equine Skills Level 3. This is a full time course which runs for 17 weeks beginning 
in June.

This fee paying programme provides the opportunity to obtain 
a New Zealand Certificate in Equine 
Skills - Sporthorse Level 3. 
Our equine qualifications are well recognised in the equine industry in New Zealand.

Free Job Connection Courses 

Our Job Connection Programmes 
are designed for people wanting to enter or re-enter the workforce and who need to gain skills in their area of career choice. Programmes range from 12-26 weeks in length and will help you develop the work habits, skills and attributes that employers want. 

These programmes are available free of charge to NZ residents registered with and referred by Work and Income. Programmes are not qualifications based but focussed on the skills required to obtain suitable employment.
